Motegi Racing introduces Technomesh to the street

Motegi Racing is proud to introduce track-proven performance for the street with the launch of its one-piece, forged Technomesh wheel in fitments suitable for high-performance sports cars.

The Motegi Racing Technomesh wheel provides the optimal balance of stiffness, lightweight, brake cooling and ergonomic form for the ultimate performance for track and street. Innovative design and engineering ensure the forged, one-piece Motegi Racing Technomesh wheel lives up to the brand’s philosophy of pure performance, where form follows function.

The Technomesh wheel preserves the characteristics of a successful competition product for fitments including the BMW M3, the Ferrari 458, the Mercedes C63 AMG and Porsche Panamera and 911 models.

Originally developed with Michelotto for the Ferrari 458 GT3, the Motegi Racing Technomesh wheel saw its United States competition debut last year with the AF Corse Ferrari GT3 Grand-Am at the 50th anniversary Rolex 24. Since then, it has gained widespread adoption from top motorsport performers including Paul Miller Racing’s Porsche RSR 911 GT3, the West Alex Job Racing Ferrari GTE, Dempsey Racing’s Lola-Judd LMP2, the Scuderia Corsa Ferrari 458 GT3 Grand-Am and the factory-backed SRT Vipers.

Motegi Racing has worked closely with its technical partners on critical evolutions of the race wheel and, to ensure an authentic technology transfer from race track to street. The Technomesh for street applications is constructed from heat-treated forged alloy monoblock billet, fully machined and designed with techno-pockets to reduce weight and improve balance without sacrificing stiffness, safety or performance. Multiple stages of quality testing and hardening ensure the final product is durable, lightweight and beautiful. Thoughtful design details include spokes shaped to promote brake cooling and a bead interface texture that limits tire slippage.!All Motegi Racing forged Technomesh wheels are tested and TUV certified.

Motegi Racing Technomesh wheels are engineered and produced exclusively in Italy by its technical partner 2elle-engineering, using the most advanced manufacturing technology available. BBI Autosport in Huntington Beach, Calif., has developed the first custom tuning vehicle destined primarily for the street that uses the Technomesh wheel: the highly modified Porsche 997 Turbo dubbed “Projekt Grip.”
