A Time Attack car’s chassis is even more important than the engine's and Verena’s car has some of the best components available. Richey Watanabe of Technosqaure built the rollcage that both protects Verena from getting squished and stiffens the chassis. KW Variant III double adjustable coil over shocks are mounted on each corner of the suspension. The chassis is tuned via Hotchkis adjustable sway bars and SPL adjustable front and rear links. A Stoptech front big brake kit hauls the car down from speed with Brembo track package brakes doing the anchor work in the rear. Performance Friction 01 brake pads with Motul fluid round out the brake system. Nismo 18x9.5 forged wheels are used all around with BFG 275/40-18 KD tires.

The body features lightweight AIT carbon fiber doors, decklid and hood. These parts trim over 150 lbs of weight from the car. Sparco seats and harness are used for safety. An AIT long nose front end with canards provides front downforce while a Nismo rear wing helps keep the rear wheels planted. SW Body and Paint is credited for all of the bodywork.

Verena won the Redline Time Attack championship in the 2008 season in the drift modifed class and has set her sights on looking for a ride in Spec Miata in the future. Verena would like to thank those who have helped her with her effort particularly her crew chief Steve Mitchell, Jim Wolf Technology, Nissan Motorsports, KW Suspension, BFG Tires, Motul, AIT, BMS, Dave Navarro’s Speed Radio Live and Billy Johnson. Besides Spec Miata, Verena would like to give Rally Racing a try. We feel that if any particular sponsors reading this are looking for someone, they ought to give her a try.

That is a really ugly umbrella girl...  Our own Mike Kojima shields Verena from the elements at a Redline Time Attack with his pink Hello Kitty umbrella.

That says a lot about the VQ35DE properly setup and cooled being able to hang through multiple seasons on the same motor, too many fall victims to heat or "stupid-charging".

Props for Verena as a great driver, Steve M, great car, I love TT's myself. Wish our season here in CT wasn't so short...

Good balanced machine manned by a top driver. What could be wrong about that?

Very well done.

I don't think Mike is that ugly of an umbrella girl. I have seen worse.
