What do guys like Billy Johnson, Dai Yoshihara, Joon Maeng, Tyler McQuarrie and other Pro Drivers do to keep sharp in between events and during the off season? Karting. We know that most of you like track time, however track time is a precious commodity that is getting harder to come by in this sluggish economy. As we get older, family and career commitments take away more and more time that used to go to race car maintenance and prep. Some of us move out of family garage space and have less room in apartments and condos. All of these factors make owning a race car more and more difficult.

The Rockstar/Scion TC built by Papadakis Racing and driven by Tanner Foust is one of the most feared machine/driver combinations on the Formula D circuit. Tanner is currently sitting in Second in the 2010 Formula D points chase in a good position for the championship.

Another video by our buddy Skylar Smith. This one was cool because we were there and it shows all of the stuff we didn't get to see. We were camped out by the starting line so that we could do a tech feature on Nobuhiro Tajima's Monster Suzuki hill climb special. More inside...

MotoIQ Staff Report
This video was shot and edited by our buddy Skylar Smith of Falken tires. We spend a lot of time with Skylar on the road, especially this year and he is one hell of a funny guy who helps make being on the road for long periods of time more bearable or even fun.

A lot of us gearheads have always dreamed of racing at Utah's Bonneville raceway. Since 1896 men have come in cars to the vast salt flats west of Salt Lake City to try their luck, not at legal gambling in the nearby town of Wendover, but to see who is the fastest of the fast. All of the worlds speed records for various types of automobiles have been set here at one time or another including Gary Gabiliche's amazing speed of 622 mph which stood as the fastest speed a land vehicle reached on earth for 13 years.

Bringing you MotoIQ is a pretty tough job, we generally work as much as 80 hours per week which involves writing, layout, photography and wrenching. On top of that, I am a suspension consultant which keeps me busy traveling and working when I am not here. We don't get much time off but we love our job and that helps. We really like driving but we hardly every get a chance to actually drive!
Other stuff we do for fun!

A few weeks ago Eric posted a Beyond the Dyno featuring in-car footage Will Roegge shot from Jeff Zwart's record setting run up Pikes Peak in his 997 GT3 Cup car. That video was a sneak peak of the more comprehensive project that he just released today! Check it out! If you missed the in-car footage, check it our HERE

If you have been a fan of MotoIQ, you have probably been reading The Queen of Questions, Sarah Forst's tech column from day one. Our statistical tracking software has shown that Sarah's works are the most highly trafficked of all of our features. So some of you are probably wondering, how did she get to know all of this stuff. Well if you know Sarah, you understand that she is very thorough and loves to research things. She has a financial background and complicated analysis and number crunching are natural for her. She learned much about extreme tech from building up her own car many years ago, meeting some of the countries top Nissan tuners and becoming a master of tuning herself in the process. Now Sarah has several cars in her arsenal ranging from a G20 winter beater to a G35 daily driver and a NX2000 track car but none are as interesting as her super Sentra.
