I have a 1996 200sx Se-R and I had a GTI-R Pulsar motor put in it. I want to upgrade the brakes. In your book, “How to Build Performance Nissan Sport Compacts,” you mention some upgrades. One in particular is the Fastbrakes upgrade kit for the front brakes that uses NX2000 (AD22VF) calipers, rotors, and pads. And for the back brakes upgrade kit, using the 1995-1999 Maxima rear calipers, rotors, and pads. Are these all the parts that I would need if I were to buy them from an auto parts place? Thank you for taking my question. By the way- great book, very good information for a learner like me.

The 1995-1999 Maxima or I30 rear disc calipers, rotors, lines, and brake cable are a direct bolt-on the B14 and will help balance larger front brakes.
The 1995-1999 Altima master cylinder has a larger 15/16 inch piston bore instead of the stock 7/8 inch piston bore.

Thanks for buying the book! The Fastbrakes front brake kit includes the slotted rotors, adapter brackets, and hubcentric rings. The rear brake kit includes the slotted rotors. You will need to get the calipers, hardware, and pads. You can search around junk yards for remanufactured parts, try an online distributor like car parts wholesale, or order them at an auto parts store like Autozone or Napa. Look for semi-loaded calipers as they include the necessary hardware, but you’ll still need to buy some pads. GSpec Performance sells the required OEM brake components. They also have 3 stages of AD22VF upgrades. Stage 1 includes all OEM parts- the calipers, hardware, pads, and rotors. Stage 2 upgrades to Powerslot slotted rotors and Metal Master pads, while Stage 3 includes stainless steel/Kevlar brake lines and synthetic racing brake fluid. GSpec also offers the Fastbrakes rotor and caliper choices to use with the AD22VF front or Maxima rear upgrades as well, making it an easy one-stop shop. You should also install the 1995-1999 Altima master cylinder for improved front to rear brake distribution with the larger brakes.
