Last month I took a trip to Guangdong, China and Hong Kong to train a customer to use the Cosworth ECPro ECU and software suite. I had no idea what to expect in China. It was to some degree what I expected being a developing country, but it was also good to discover that street car tuning is alive and kicking. Track days are massively gaining popularity and there's even a touring car race series.

KW has been looking at their product line up and has made a decision to start adding some applications for some of the classic Japanese exotics from the Japanese supercar heyday of the early to mid 90’s. KW has already come up with coilovers for the MK IV Supra and the NSX. The FD RX-7 is on the R&D schedule and we helped with the R&D for the latest Japanese classic addition, the Nissan Z32 300ZX.

Inside Look: Dino Crescentini's StopTech Porsche 911 GT3
By Steve Rockwood
Carroll Shelby once said that to make a small fortune racing, you must first spend a large one. Of course, Mr. Shelby was also the spokesperson of some snake oil company that combines the last letter of the alphabet with the shortened version of the word maximum when Global Motorsports Group (GMG) became more than a twinkle in its founders' eyes. Founded in 2001 by James Safronas and Fabryce Kutyba, GMG started its existence in a 1200 sq ft facility, and has since grown to fill its current 15,000 sq ft stable with high-end hardware that features charging bulls, prancing horses and a slew of crests from Stuttgart. One of the many purebreds GMG looks after is the Pirelli World Challenge GT #4 StopTech Porsche 911 GT3, driven by Dino Crescentini, CEO of Centric Parts and StopTech.

Part 2: More Than You Ever Wanted to Know About the Le Mans-Winning Corvette's Air Conditioner
by Dave Coleman
Getting to Le Mans is hard. First you have to build a fast LeMons car, assemble a good team, wait until Jay Lamm gets drunk and sends out an e-mail promising to send the LeMons season champions to Le Mans, and then make an all-in press for championship points, landing on the podium at 7 LeMons races in that one critical year. Then you actually have to find the city of Le Mans, France. This time, we finally found it.

Redline Track Events: Round 4 Race Report - Willow Springs International Raceway July 2 - 3, 2011
By Laura Heng
Every championship winning race team has had bad weekends. Blown motors, wrecked cars, or maybe just a $2 bolt that snapped can put an early end to your weekend during the heat of competition. The only thing that separates the champions from the rest of the pack is that some guys get back to work and rebuild to fight another day, others just pack it up and take up bowling instead (not that there is anything wrong with bowling). July 4th weekend at Willow Springs was Round 4 of the Redline Track Events series and was a particularly brutal weekend of racing for many.

VIDEO: 2011 Pikes Peak Record Breaking Run with Monster Tajima
MotoIQ Staff Report
Last week Nobuhiro "Monster" Tajima achieved the holy grail of the Pikes Peak Hill Climb, breaking the 10 minute barrier for a run up the vaunted hill. What makes this iconic record even more notable is that this is probably the last year that the event will have a dirt section in the course. The mixture of dirt and tarmac is what has made the hill climb unique. The road is scheduled to be completely paved by next year so any subsequent record will not be quite the same.

Auto Talent M3 - A Cheetah In Zebra's Clothing
By Khiem Dinh
The BMW M3 has been the performance enthusiast’s choice within the BMW lineup for generations. The E36 generation is still an extremely popular track day vehicle due to its performance and value. The current generation E92 coupe could be considered the German equivalent of a muscle car packing a 414hp, 4.0L, V8 that eclipses the magical 100hp/L mark for a normally aspirated engine.
