I generally have a decent grasp on how to write.  But, lack any real knowledge on photography.  I've been very frustrated in my attempts to have people photograph my cars and have come to the conclusion, like I have with most aspects of wrenching, that I need to educate myself.

So I thought I'd start a thread on how to photograph our work and present it to folks. Perhaps we can post pictures that we are pleased with and get the pros to critique and give suggestions?  I need to learn how to take acceptable pictures.

Thanks

Bob

Do you have bad examples of your own you'd like advice on?  Maybe that would be an easier place to start.  At least for me, settings and technique can vary widely depending on whether I'm shooting a car on the track vs a feature type shot vs detail stuff and then the lighting conditions for each of those as well.

Do you have a dslr or are you using a point and shoot?  Photoshop proficiency adds a whole 'nother layer of options too--that might be another thread though
