If you read our article about the new Silvia, you can see that its probably going to be a big turd.
www.motoiq.com/MagazineArticles/tab...e-Not.aspx
Some people at Nissan read MotoIQ. We need to send them the message that they cannot ruin our beloved model line like that with fugly styling and a weak motor.
Come on everyone, lets link this to other forums and other sites, get people to comment here so that Nissan can get the idea that this car is not it. Let get a grassroots effort started to save the Silvia and not to let Nissan go to production with this POS. |

Nissan please stick to your formula of; a decent powertrain surrounded by a moderately attractive chassis. Here are some facts about the group of owners and market your making this car for.
- Owners of this car are not interested in any feature like sat-nav, bluetooth, xm/sirus radio that will raise the cost of the car or lower the budget for performance parts. These parts as options are a rip off, we know it and you know it. While we're on the interior know that your generic radio offered is better than every Bose "upgraded" stereo you've ever offered.
- Weight is the enemy
- We're okay with your awful use of plastics in the interior as long as this car is fast but please refrain from things like bright red seat fabric.
- You can make this car nearly as fast as the Z and you won't hurt the sales of that car. They are two totally different types of cars for different owners.
- The EVO and STI have nearly priced themselves out of the market of what the average joe considers affordable and look at their sales numbers.
- Unlike the EVO and STI the Silvia won't be burdoned by an expensive drive-train; please supply a proper LSD and a fully defeatable traction control.
- Your not doing yourself any favors by turning your back on the automotive aftermarket and making it more difficult for tuners to make parts for this car or modify the ECU. Owners who do this know they are responsible if their engine blows up.
- Please give us a rod shifter. Cable shifters suck on performance cars.
- All the commotion over the enthusiast edition will fuel the sales of the water-downed version. This will keep the accountants happy
- Sticking to what worked for the Japanese version of the s13, 14, 15 is all you need to do.

Yeah, I'll be looking into the new toyota/subaru but if Nissan goes with this concept I will NOT be at all interested and have heard countless people in my age group 20-27 that feel the same way. It would be sad to see them fail like they would with this concept |

Putting the upcoming Toyota/Subaru next to this thing, NO ONE WILL BUY THE NISSAN. Even if it sold 5k cheaper, no one will buy it. |

i second every word written by sootfoot. that should be the 10 commandments of making a new silvia. if they don't, i'd take the FT86, unless they screw that up by making it a hybrid or something. |

I bet my mom would think it's cute. While we're on the subject, just about everything from Japan has been oddly styled lately... with the ironic exception of Nissan cars like the 370Z or GTR. Makes you wonder what happened with this concept... |

hahaha lmao, holy crap that is funny!! Nissan sure has dropped the bar in low buck cars for us middle class people to buy with intent to modify. Also, is it me, or do all nissan's vehicle line up all look the same? the maxima, sentra, altima all look the same. One day nissan might actually make a good engine that could acctually be compareable to the honda K-series engines. oh well, for me right, now long live the SR engines! |

all they need to compete with the K series is a few millimeters increase on the deck of the QR25 and VVL.
otherwise, it's basically there. has the displacement and the head flows very well. |

It will take way more than a few mm of deck height to make the QR a match for the K. Way more head flow, better rods, pistons, crank and block integrity, valve actuation, hummm, sounds like a whole new design is needed. |

Well with a nice tall deck plate you could fix alot of the block integrity or at least it would reduce side load with a long rod and block integrity would not be as much of a problem?? To be honest i have yet to look at the QR motor.. What kind of flow do the heads do stock??? And didn't the JWT QR make some good power?? |

Nissan is trying to take the Toyota path and make cars that the masses will want. But that kind of thinking is what killed the Celica and MR-S. Nissan, please don;t follow Toyota too closely. |
