picked up this ulgy as sin Kawasaki 454LTD because I needed a 2 wheel fix. But, I can't do ugly, and I'm 6'3" so I have to do some chopping to fit.

Finally had some time today to work on it.

Before:

all the lines are wrong, everything with the bike is wrong, besides the fact it makes a touch over 50hp.

started by cutting out a chunk so I could do some bending

did some bending..

looked good exceept the tank was up too high.... definatly not hella flush

so I had to cut out a few inches on the front tubes.....

and then weld it back up.........

now it was hella flush........

I cut the ass end off....

and added a trailer fender and made some stuff to mount it.......

this is how I left it sitting for now................

tomorrow it'll get a 3.5" stretch.......

I took out a good bit of angle on the forks, hopefully it doesn't want to shimmy.

It looks a lot better now.  The down tubes don't look safe though.

Looks like fun!

Is the OE frame welded or brazed on those?

there's a 6" piece of thick tubing inserted into the downtubes. Once it's triangulated, it'll be good to go.

if that doesn't look safe, wait until you see what's going to happen to the swing arm

stretched it a little differently than I had planned in my head yesterday. Added about 3.5"
