I loved that Supra as well.

The pastel/neon colors + gaudy graphics though

I just watched TF&TF and 2F2F this weekend. Man, I forgot how bad some of the dialog was. And the background cars...wow. Don't get me wrong though, I love the series. My favorite car was the Skylilne driving around the city right after the opening scene of Fast Five.

The cars in the first movie were kind of cool, IMO.  Most of them were "clones" of real-life, heavily modified tuner cars; the actual "hero" cars were featured in scenes that didn't require stunt driving.  Wasn't the red RX-7 a Veilside demo car, for instance?

Starting with the second movie, the cars were just painted to look cool, and were not based off of real-life cars.  If I remember correctly, Sport Compact Car did a test on the cars from the second movie and found that they were all disturbingly slow.  They just had ridiculous body kits, wheels, and paintjobs slapped onto otherwise stock cars.

Although it's a brilliant movie on it's own, I'd add Dazed & Confused to the list. I'd still love to own a GTO Judge.

No one has said, "every Bond movie ever made." James always has a BA car. I believe Golden Eye may be the only one where the car didn't actually do anything.
Other than that, what about the first Transporter movie? Ridiculous, yes. But cool none the less.
Also, I love the car chase scenes in the Bourne movies. Particularly the Mini chase in Bourne Identity.
If I ever get the chance to make a movie, it will revolve around a great car chase scene. I'm sold every time they do it well, and disappointed every time they screw it up.

I just watched "Dust to Glory" over the weekend, and I loved it. It's a Dan Brown documentary on the Baja 1000. Awesome. I don't know much about the Baja 1000 outside of what I learned from the movie, but it sounds EPIC. They barely scratched the surface of all the awesomeness of the race and it still made for great viewing. I'd love to see more of the other classes, but since many of those are low budget, good video footage is probably lacking or nonexistant. Loved the "Class 11" drivers.... 100% stock Beetles. Competing in 1000 miles of gravel, sand, silt, narrow trails, rocks, etc. Slow, yes, but incredibly insane. I'd love to watch more of them and see how they do on the more challenging trails. Anyway, great movie/documentary, and highly recommended.
