There was a letter to the editor in this months Modified magazine where the writer lambasted Modified for not being a good substitute for SCC and the writer suggested that they read the articles that Coleman, myself and a few others wrote to try to improve. There answer was that they are not the new SCC but a different mag.
Well if you miss Turbo, I think that DSport captures the flavor of the old great turbo and does it one better. Dsport is 10x better than Turbo once Source interlink meddled with it.
If you miss SCC then we are the place you want to be. I know there are a lot of sad SCC fans that would love to find us. We need them too, we need the traffic so we can attract more sponsors largely so we can have budget to do some really neat things that you guys would like. Our plan is to not ask for donations or subscriptions but relay on sponsorships, however the thing that comes up is traffic, and reach. We need to improve, We are still young but we need help to grow faster.
Thats where you can help us. We are not asking for money, just help us get the word out, post links around on other places you visit, link articles you like to other places, add us to your blog roles, spread the word to you gearhead friends. MotoIQ is like the Phoenix of SCC rising from the ashes, Help us grow and I guarantee we will get better and give you a better product..
Our last push when we ask for your help netted around a 20% increase in traffic and membership. I am asking our readers for help again, help us get discovered and reach all of the old SCC fans and hopefully some new ones. |

I've been trying to do my part Mike. I've linked to a few articles or the site itself when I've seen articles that apply and will continue to do so. I'm really enjoying the content here and all I can tell you guys is to keep up the good work. There's a lot of magazine type project vehicle content available here that you can't find anywhere else, as the traffic picks up things will get better yet. Before this site came along the only thing I wanted to do with a scooter when I saw them on the road was run them over, now I could actually see myself hopping one up |

I have to say, I feel like such a noob on this site (As I am really) but I know the articles and other knowledge have been pointing me in the right direction and there is plenty of knowledge to absorb. I would love to spread the word, but since I am predominatly on GM forums, I wouldnt want to bring over traffic from kids who are complete idiots or all the other narrowminded domestic guys. |

If you could come up with a signature banner I'd use it on the other two car forums I'm on (s2ki & neons.org). I love this site and forum, I just hope as it grows you can keep the idiots weeded out. ( myself just being marginally ignorant I'll just continue to read and lurk) |

There are 'tech' guys on all forums who appreciate cool stuff. Plus, I believe there are two GM related projects coming up And the more knowledge from different areas, the better. Case in point, my buddy Andrew came on here with an issue with is LS1. Most of us don't have any knowledge on it, though Eric guessed right that it was a lifter issue.
And there's all kinds of cool stuff that relates to any platform, like the engine dyno setup and testing at Cosworth, or stuff like clutches, suspension setup, turbo setup of the NSX, crazy suspension setup of the drift cars, random stuff like swirl pots and dry sumps. |

I posted about motoiq in socalevo.net, but socal evo owners are something else; a lot of them don't like to get their hands dirty and don't like to learn. I'll post in a couple of other places now. |

I'll chat with a good friend who is on some LS1 forums and see if he can post a link and get some members over here.

Hey Mike, heads up. I potentially sent some Factory Five Racing guys your way.
http://www.ffcobra.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2197554
You should have those guys really ask me why drift cars use wings! They are fully functional. It kinda kills me that they seem to be poking fun at Tanners car which is a very sophisticated and developed machine or any of the top FD cars for that matter. |
