...I'm looking for a new daily driver, wanted to throw a little luxury into the mix...I drove an 2005 probably 4 years ago as a rental, pretty familiar with the car VQ, ect...Going to be trading in my 07 Subuaru B9 Tribecca, my wife is going to be putting on the majority of mileage (she is most comfortable with driving a crossover or SUV, so cars are out)...

First and foremost I'm concerned with the AWD the FX comes with.  I will most likely will be upgrading tires to a true all season tire (w/ the stock tire the 20inch comes with being more of a performance tire)...obviously the FX keeps the door open to play around with it some, maybe couple of upgrades, though that is not why I'm interested in it...I do like the price it falls at, compared to some others and the fun factor it brings w/ the V6 vs say the MDX...

As I say, I'm always in the market for a "new car"...but it doesnt have to be new...Over the last  couple of years I have been pricing a variety of cars on autotrader.com and cars.com...Last year I was able to negotiate a deal for two 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan SXTs for my company with the help of my brother who is in car sales...one of which I use as a company car...

I'm always researching availabilty/price with my personal car interests...though that has taken a backburner with me rennovating my house...However, now my concentration has been revolving around me trying to move my wife into something different that will appeal to the both of us...

All vehicle purchases go through a process for me while looking at the long term (how long I want the car, particular use and possible resale)...I can say I'm looking to run this car into the ground where the resale is not as important to me...($5,000 or less)

Trying to find the right balance doesnt seem as easy with this car, but I know mileage/price ratio has played a significant role...And the FX35 has stood out as one of the best...I do understand the FX drives more like a car as does the Tribecca (both with stiffer suspension)...I have considered a wide price range of some bigger SUVs, V8s, towing capacity and gas mileage...Most of these SUVs have been in the luxury segment...I'm going to be test driving probably 6-7 vehicles...
