***Update 2/5/10***
1. Set your browser homepage as MotoIQ.
2. Go here and install this toolbar for Firefox (the Firefox addon is much less intrusive; bottom left of browser). This is a tool that tracks non personal information about the websites you visit. For privacy reasons please read the End User License Agreement first to find out what's being tracked.

Go here and install this toolbar for IE or Firefox. The toolbar is ugly but all the great content on MotoIQ will make you forget about it ;-)

3. If you're not registered on www.digg.com or www.stumbleupon.com do so (you can use your Facebook credentials if you have them). At the bottom of each article we have an icon for AddThis which can bookmark and link our pages to other sites.

The two sites we're currently focusing on are www.digg.com and www.stumbleupon.com. Please categorize your submissions properly in Lifestyle/Autos on Digg; SumbleUpon isn't as picky.
That's it for now. Thank you for helping! The more you help us the more and better coverage we can provide

Hello all of you MotoIQ fans. As you know it is expensive to produce MotoIQ. We currently burn through $3-5000 dollars a month to provide you with top level original content, what we feel is a step above anything currently in print or on the web for the hard core enthusiast. Presently this money has been funded by private investors and cannot keep coming forever. For the most part we stick with original content because web mining isn't what we feel is what our readers want.
We need to sell advertising to help keep the dream alive and to make it even better. We want to have a larger editorial staff, to be able to have cool events, to do more extensive testing and on track evaluations. We need money to do this. Unlike the large faceless corporations that run most publications we will but the money back into our product as we strive to be the best by far.
One hurdle we are running into when trying to get advertisement is that the volume of our traffic is relatively low compared to mass volume sites such as Speedhunters, etc. Many advertisers have volume as there sole requirement. Some don't get our vision of super quality free content. We need to triple our traffic to attract serious advertisers.
Help support our efforts at fund raising before the money runs out. Most of you go to other places on the net besides here. Please when you can, start threads to promote this place, link back to it from your myspace and facebook accounts. Post links back to here on subjects where our content will help shed some light. Every little bit helps. Most of our growth has come like this through your grassroots cross posting. Now I am asking if all of you can help a little. Post here on the forum and use our community tabs. This is a real neat feature that no one has discovered yet, like facebook with your gearhead peers. Fill out your profiles and upload profile pictures. We will improve your MotoIQ ranking if you do that and remind us. Help keep our forum the cool place it is, help the newbs and don't flame. We haven't required one bit of moderation since day one and we have an elite group here. Let keep it that way.
When you cross post and link, the gist of into posts should be something along the lines of "if you miss tech based magazine like SCC and Turbo, please check out MotoIQ".
Help us grow and I promise to do my best to give it all back by giving you stuff that the other corporations cannot or will not. Our staff is here because we love what we do, not because we want to get rich. Being the best at what we do is important to us. Help us get volume and you will get more and better original coverage.
Mike
