Mine would have to be the 1400GSR that we never got here. Basically their rally car for the early 1970s. Here is a link to an article I scanned from our library here at the VRI for the Ultimate Subaru Message Board.

I know it's lame but the 22b. Could there be a better GC chassis car? It wins on looks alone.

There used to be a guy who frequently posted on another board I'm on with an XT6 wagon. He worked for a Subaru tuning shop in Oregon, I almost want to say it was GP Moto.

I don't really have a favorite; I'm more of a car nut than I am a Subaru nut. I'll go with the original WRX/STi. It was the one which introduced me into the idea of a performance Subaru, way way back via the original Gran Turismo. Until then my Subaru experiences were limited to an old wagon of mf granfathers.

Did Mr. XT wagon ever post pics of his ride?  I'd be interested in seeing what it took to get that car built.

Stay away from project XT, thats next on my list of projects...

Oooooo, I forgot about that one!  Yes, as a fellow 2nd gen owner I lust for the RA-R.  I saw one for sale in Japan not too long ago, for like $40K before importation fees.

My favorite Subie was my '85 Brat from High School! With a modern 2.5L (or 2.2L) motor that thing would have been much more fun than it was. I could still bury the speedo but it would take about 2 miles with no head wind LOL. I think it topped out at 93 mph.

That thing was fun. Stick shift, dual sunroofs, two doors & slow as hell. What more do you need?
