Art of Speed Racing(ASR) is situated at Tianma Circuit in Shanghai China.

They have a background in rally and touring car racing and have some very serious projects underway.

One of their clients bought an unfinished project s13 Silvia coupe and tasked ASR with the goals of building a car that he could run down most anything with in the local series. Being that the local series has competitors with deep pockets and is rife with AWD trickery this seemed a daunting task. The car had a S15 engine and tranny, some worn Tein street shocks, Skyline GTS brakes and a rudimentary cage in it. It was also totally gutted, stripped and sported widebody fiberglass fenders and bumpers, and lexan windows. It also had a huge ugly very 'functional' looking rear wing, twin bosch fuel pumps and a custom aluminum fuel cell.
ASR decided to keep the ugly duckling 'theme' and make a very utilitarian track bitch project into a contender. The path taken was the opposite of the norm for Silvias.

Engine displacement was lowered to approx 1870cc with the use of a custom billet crank with a throw of 84.6mm, extra long Carrillo rods and ASR spec'd 84mm Mahle pistons snug in Darton sleeves. The result is a shortblock that can hold tremendous boost pressure and sustained high rpm(10k+).
The head sports Tomei solid lifters and cams (292/294), Nismo Valves, and Cosworth springs.
Alchemy Drift-spec intercooler and ASR radiator and oil-cooler keep temps under control. ( its winter here now hence the rad being blocked off).
I can't remember the name of the intake manifold (but it's not made in China).
The Garrett sleeve-bearing t3/4 turbo is perched atop a 321 stainless Alchemy equal length manifold.
The stock pot houses an Xtrac differential. Check the 295 width Hoosiers.
The MOTEC M800 knows all and interfaces with a ASR-spec TCU which activates the solenoids on the pneumatically shifted Hollinger 6-speed sequential transmission.
It's even more fun with f1 style paddle shifters and a MOTEC digital dash

Normally it also has Volks on the front...

Sitting low on the DMS shocks and fully adjustable suspension.

big bad AP brakes
Last season this car was able to run head to head with EVO's that have 3x as much invested... all on a stock head and 0.5bar boost. All this on a track with 2 very, very short straights. This year with 2 bar boost and the new tolerance for revs, I expect nothing less than decimation.

If you have any questions just ask...
I'm going to try and answer them all.
