Just wanting to know what are some light wheels I can get for my 200sx. I know one was the Gram Lights 57 Maximun that weigh 15.5 lbs but I can't get them anymore from tire rack. The only one that have are the ones with the offset of 33mm and I recall that a 98 200sx need an offset of 38mm. |

30-35mm offset will work no problem. That what I run on mine. |

TE37 is pretty much the top of the food chain!
If their retail price is out of range a wheel that is picking up a lot of steam with the Miata road racers is the 949 racing 6UL's. www.949racing.com.
I am not a metallurgist however they seem to be doing something right given that they are a cast wheel. 15 x 8's weigh in at 12.5 lbs. I have a set and they are the straightest wheels I have ever owned. 3 of the wheels all took half a gram in balancing and one wheel took one gram. Now I just need to see if they stay that way after track use. They arereasonably priced at $160 per wheel. Not Volks but so far they have been a great wheel for me and I haven't seen failure reports from the hard core wheel to wheel guys running them. |

yeh the TE37 is pretty much the top, great wheel...I'm in the market for purchasing 17x8s and with my 04 brembo swap and our wheels being 4 lug its slim pickings...not looking to do a 5lug conversion for my 02 sentra as Mike did so the only decent option is 5zigen fn01rc...17lbs is really not that bad for a 17x8...I'll be rolling my fenders to go 245 40...now its tire selection...again on a budget, I think I'll be able to find a wheel/tire package shipped/mounted/balance for around $1200...

yeh I've been searching...again, 17x8 35mm 4x114.3 is not easy to find and I'm sure its similar for the 200sx...but realistically spending another $300 or so for new wheels is not a big deal especially the fact that I'll be 100% sure none of them are bent...$1200 for set a decent new wheels/tires mounted/balanced and shipped to my door is pretty damn cheap... |

If I may drop my .02 here: I've seen a growth of 949 Racing wheels in the past year or so at the local tracks (NorCal)...Miata's and Civic EG's being the most popular.....but I still believe that the Enkei RPF1 still hold it's top position as far as money for quality. The MAF process they have is very similar to forging (even though they're cast)... Another company that started to follow this path (aside from AME) is SSR....with their new model Type F, although their price is a bit steep for a cast wheel. Or, like they mentioned above, the Rays/ Volk. I've owned several Volk rims (all one-piece forged)....from TE37's to CE28N and the newest entry RE30. The TE37 are the heaviest of the three....but also the cheapest. The CE28N are the lightest of the three....and are mid-range price if you compare it with the TE37's and the RE30. The RE30 are, like the name suggests 30% stronger than the CE28N, slightly heavier than the CE28N, but also the most expensive of the bunch. If you decide to go with any Volk rims, I would suggest you to give a call to the www.gruppe-s.com guys......I've always dealt with them, and they always gave me good deals, and are a great peeps. Kosei K1's
Team Dynamics Pro series
everything else is just fluff...
Only thing I have against volks are the cost, you can smash up 3 sets of K1's or TD wheels for the single cost of a set of volks |

Myself and another team both ran 15x7 Enkei RPF1s with great success. Both cars had shared drivers so it wasn't just the owner looking after the wheels. They held up perfectly. That being said, I like the idea of the 15x8 949 racing wheel. |

Only issue with the RPF1, is the lack of a large ID to fit bigger brakes. |
