I think an FD's REW port timing (and port sizes) might make more power than a Renesis' port timing (and wacko side exhaust ports). I haven't played with the Renesis at all, but some of the Japanese rotary tuners have had pretty good success with NA FD engines.

Dave, you play with any Renesis engines before?

I have. Ive built street stock port engines in the 230-240 crank range and stockport race engines in the 270 crank HP range. I don't think it is very impressive but it is not bad either. The renesis side exhaust port and the 6 port intake design is good for street usage but when it comes to making power I think you need a conventional 13b/20b with a turbo. The side exhaust reduces intake exhaust overlap.

You can put a first gen cover on a renesis, use a FC trigger system and your choice of standalone and drop it into a first gen. The trans bolt patern is the same. you just have to make sure your clutch is correct for the trans you are using.
