Regardless of my assertions of "0-blame" and whether or not I'm right, there's clearly one big smelly loser in the whole scenario: Nissan.

Even if C&D was *completely* to blame, there's still steps that Nissan can take to prevent these occurrences, and it's definitely in their best interest to do so. But as our resident "insider" has informed us, Nissan willingly and consciously chose not to take those steps, and in fact to STOP taking those steps.

No real mysteries here.
