Does anybody (maybe big j) know what would be required for this swap?  The reason is that I turned over 219k miles in my 02 altima yesterday and the engine is tired.  It has never even had a valve cover off, and has a lifter tick, needs a timing chain, and a clutch would be a good idea while its out, and even then the bottom end still has all those miles on it, and i have found a metal shaving in a recent oil change.  Because of all that, im interested in getting a v6 and 6 speed from a maxima. This'll get me a fresher engine and trans, more power, 6th gear, and an LSD.  And ill do a clutch, and a few other cheap upgrades before the engine goes in.

I know ill need the engine and trans and most likely a shifter box.  Is the anything im forgetting like accessories, ecu, or harness?  If I get an 02-04 maxima drivetrain and I'm lucky i think i may be able to use the altima ecu and harness.

If I'm missing something that I need for the swap please let me know.

Personally I'd try to get ahold of Aaron Kimball @ Nissan Works Performance (NWP) Engineering. He knows more about FWD VQ swaps than anyone I can think of. Very easy guy to get a hold of, he usually replies to my questions over email, youtube comments, or facebook.
