Some very impressive upgrades. Engine weight is reduced 26.5lbs though it's 3.8L vs 3.6L. Now direct injection allows for a higher compression ratio (9.8 vs 9.0) and more power (500hp vs 480). The kicker? 18% reduction in emissions, 16% reduction in fuel consumption.
