For the longest time, Eddie Murphy's Delirious was not available on DVD. I hate VHS tapes so I was waiting for Delirious on DVD for the longest time. This is Eddie Murphy's first stand alone movie. Raw was his second. Both are funny as hell. Since most of you reading this grew up on Def Comedy Jam and don't know shit about real stand up comedy like Richard Prior and Eddie Murphy, you NEED to go and rent this. Formula D - Long Beach 2007

I got to the Formula D drift event at 9am on Saturday. It was a bit overcast, but I like overcast. Anyhow, I had to work the Cosworth booth for most of the day so I didn't get to watch even a bit of drifting. No big deal; I missed the circus. There were a shitload of people though. Jim Liaw of Formula D is making BANK!!!!

1st - Mitsuru Haraguchi - Falken 180SX with S15 front end

2nd - Tanner Foust - AEM 350Z

3rd - Daijiro Yoshihara - Rockstar S13

4th - Vaughn Gitten Jr. - Falken Mustang

Tanner's 350Z broke a tie rod in between rounds and they were unable to fix it in time so Haraguchi took the win.

Gymkhana USA

Last Saturday was a beautiful day so I decided to get out of the house and I went to the El Toro Air Field to check out my buddy Ken's Gymkhana event. Gymkhana USA is bringing us Americans the sport of Gymkhana which is really similar to SCCA Pro Solo with the exception that there are actually no pros. At the moment it is a bunch of car enthusiasts out there having a blast. Gymkhana is a combination of 2 inverted courses where 2 contestants go at the same time. There's a slalom, small straight, and a series of very technical turns that encourages flamboyant driving such as drifting and power sliding. Survivorman

There's this cool show on the Discovery Channel called "Survivorman". This dude is the real life MacGyver and Crocodile Hunter all in one. He goes to some desolate place some random place in nature, fakes an incident that could happen to any outdoorsman, and then the camera crew leaves him there. He has to survive for 7 days before the camera crew returns to pick him up. The idea is to show you how to survive in nature when you don't have shit on you and you're all by yourself. In the process of trying to survive, he's got to film everything by himself, talk to you (the viewer), find food, water, shelter, etc. This guy is buff. Apexi Bergenholtz Racing Drift FD

I got a call from Apexi because they needed me to tune their drift FD. I got there and I was like WTF? The FD was painted JUST like the very first Bergenholtz drag CRX from the late 90's. I didn't know that Bergenholtz and Apexi jointed forces to run the drift FD. Mazda and Nitto are the title sponsors for now. It should be pretty interesting since Bergenholtz has the experience to run a race car and Apexi has the technology, the parts, and the car to go drifting. I've worked with the Bergenholtz brothers before when XS used to supply their turbochargers back in the day and they are a competent team (2 time NHRA FWD PRO champions). New Lancer

I ran into an old drinking buddy Sam Mitani of Road and Track last night at Musha in Torrance. He gets to drive all the new cars before they come out. I only had my shitty cel phone to snap some super crappy pics. I didn't even bother taking pics of the rear because there wasn't enough light. The new Lancer is alright. It looks good compared to the current base Lancer. Its so big though, I'm not sure how good of an EVO X it's going to make.
