In the last installment of the E30 chronicles, we finished up the intercooler system. In this chapter we will be addressing the driveshaft and the fuel system. Also, by the end of the chapter the engine bay will finally go from black to dank.
Last time we ended with the SR20 all mounted up inside the E30. Now it’s time to start plumbing it. In this episode, we will be mounting the radiator, intercooler and condenser (yes, you heard that right) as well as making the intercooler and intake piping.
In the last episode, we managed to make an SR20DET fit inside an E30. Now it’s time to actually make it stay there. In this installment, we will be fabricating custom motor and trans mounts.
So, you built an s13 daily with an SR20 in it. It’s reliable, it’s fast, it makes awesome chu-chu noises, you put 5,000 miles on it, but then you realize that there is one thing this car doesn’t have- 4 doors. That is the exact predicament we were in.
