For those of you who know those hipster, college grad, fixed gear bike riding, low carb beer drinking, ipad owning (or wanting), iphone loving, Apple can do absolutely no wrong type people and know how these types vehemently defend Apple and the iphone versus the PC and Android phones, you will absolutely love this.

Track Day @ Fuji Speedway Jan 11, 2009 On Sunday Roland and I hopped on to the DSPORT tour bus again to go check out the Carmate and Nitto Tire drift ride along. More on the drift day later (probs with sd card). The DSPORT Tokyo Auto Salon tour is actually pretty good, but my schedule did not allow me to go on the entire tour. Today they went to the Nissan R35 GT-R VR38DETT engine factory in Yokohama which was undoubtedly pretty cool too. I do recommend the DSPORT tour for next year if you are thinking about going to the Tokyo Auto Salon. I met some cool people on the tour too.
After Fuji was rebuilt a couple...

R35 GT-R Soundtrack I hopped on to the DSPORT tour bus on Saturday and went to Super Autobacs in Tokyo. This store is crazy big and smokes the two Super Autobacs in California. Anyhow, I saw some R35 CDs. These were disco, house, euro trance, and love ballad CDs. Not quite my taste, but interesting how the R35 is affecting the car culture. You don't see CZ9A EVO X CDs... ...

Concerts
Despite the last 3 months being ridiculously busy, I managed to sneak in a couple of concerts. There's nothing like loud music and a little bit (or a lot) of alcohol. If you enjoy the music or concerts in general, it's a great way to just forget about the outside world for a couple hours. I think I have discovered my new activity for occasional stress relief.

While I'm not a huge R&B fan, Saya is pretty hardcore so I told her I would be down to check it out. I was super busy at the time, but you have to pay your dues sometime...

Bass From an Unlikely Place It all started in 1986 when I was about 12 or 13 years old and my buddy Stanley's dad bought him a pair of Cerwin Vega home speakers with 15" woofers (yes the ones with the ribbed, darker orange surrounds). Having older friends who were mobile DJs exposed me to loud music, early hip hop/electro, and DJ speakers like Electro Voice, JBL, and Cerwin Vegas at a fairly early age. I would imagine that most 9-12 year olds weren't exposed to big speakers that young (I could be wrong). ...

Groove Armada Saturday was a long day. It started with the alarm clock blasting at 5:20am. I had to go to the Performance Nissan meet to work the Cosworth booth at the Orange Show in San Bernardino, CA and meet at Ken's house at 6am. San Bernardino sucks ass. We rolled in at 7am and the bullshit rent-a-cop, wannabe security people decided to do a full on vehicle search on our van. Good thing they didn't find the 10 kilos of coke I brought to a car show. They made us throw away our water, sodas, and food because you had to buy everything from a wannabe King Taco stand called Taco Rico or some bullshit. How fucking dumb is that? Anyhow, so we set up our little display booth and waited for people to come...
