Super Street: Reader's Rides

I was flipping through an old Super Street Magazine from 2008 and I saw an image that looked familiar. The background, the toolbox, and the turbo all looked familiar. Then it struck me: Vanessa's was fondling the old turbo from my GS300 between her thighs while sitting on top of Pete's Snap-On box at XS Engineering. ...

Carbon Fiber

Carbon fiber is definitely making its way into our lives. As a lightweight, high strength, composite material (carbon weave cloth and plastic resin), it has many uses on race cars, race engines, aerospace, airplanes and jets, and just about anything else that requires a lightweight, high strength part. However, the last place you would expect to find carbon fiber though is in women's shoes. I would imagine it would make the shoes incredibly stiff and inflexible, but it is to our benefit (men) that women do the craziest things to make themselves attractive to us (like being on Girls Gone Wild). If this includes wearing incredibly stiff shoes, then so be it. We should be glad that women ar...

DaTruth is DaBomb

Once again, Damessenjah writes about some funny shit. DaTruth is Damessenjah's blog about everything that is undeniably true with the automotive tuning industry. He blasts ugly import models, wack ass Chinaman parts and companies, Meximas, magazine editors, etc. His ability to express the truth in well written prose is exceptionally perfect. Check out his current post on wack import models, but be sure to read all of his other entries for a good dose of laughter.

DaTruth Blog - Make sure to read the subtitles under the pictures for a good time.

BTW, while Damessenjah and I share many common beliefs, I

Race Queens

It's time for a break from all the serious car talk and check out some females. In Asia, every race team has campaign girls and these girls have been called "Race Queens". Personally, I think that most of them should NOT be called queens because they are definitely NOT fit for a king, but some of them are pretty smoking hot. We will examine some of the latter examples here today. To me, a true race queen has to have a pleasant/pretty face and a bangin' body. I don't dig the super cute or pretty ones with no body. If you're going to be a race queen, you better look like a queen. At the same time, you have to remember the girls from Asia have minimal ass so you'll have to let them slide...

Shibuya 109

Rewinding back to January 2, 2008, Yaya and I went to 109 in Shibuya, Tokyo. For those of you not familiar with 109, it is 9 stories of female fashion boutiques. 109 primarily caters to various types of Shibuya "gyarus". I think primarily ko-gyarus and b-gyarus. That's Japlish for "girls" if you didn't figure that one out. The term "b-gyaru" is derived from "b-boy" if you know your hip hop terminology. There is an entire subculture of hip hop influenced Japanese chicks and dude...

Leah Dizon

At a party on new year's eve in Tokyo the TV was on in the background. On this NHK TV special that was this smoking hot chick that couldn't sing for shit. Sure I just described about 85% of the female J-pop "artists", but this one looked familiar. Sure enough it was Leah Dizon. She was singing her heart out, but she could BARELY stay in key. I mean she straight out sucked at singing. That's ok in asia though where pop stars are popular simply because they look good. If you search google for images of her, you can see...

SEMA 2007 - Pro-Motion Party at Risque

The 500 whp XS built Arizona BNR34 Skyline GT-R owner's club Brett and Jimmy and Troy and I went to the Pro-Motion Distributing party at Risque at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas this past SEMA. As usual it was a fag party since automotive related industries are dominated by males. Since SEMA is a trade show, you can't expect it to be any different. It's not like a shoe, clothing, or porn trade show where the industry is dominated by females. So anyway, my buddy Jimmy had more than a couple of run & cokes and proceeded to go ape shit with my camera. Here are the results - gogo dancers are fun to watch when you drink.

Sachiko Hanai

While I was up in San Francisco a couple weeks ago, I stopped by the Red Vic Movie House on Haight Street to watch an independent Japanese movie with Phil from 360 video and a friend. This theater is known to play indie films of all genres - some good and some bad. The name of th movie was "The Glamourous Life of Sachiko Hanai" and if any of you have watched some Japanese movies, you'll know that they can be pretty trippy. This movie definitely falls into the pretty trippy category. Sachiko Hanai is a call girl who gets a bullet in the forehead, but doesn't die. The bullet jacks up her brain (this is illustrated with cutting edge CG graphics). This movie is good for a time killer...

Hot Import Nights - March 24, 2007 Pomona, CA

I got a VIP pass to HIN last Saturday and I went to check it out with my buddies Troy (XS), Brett (Vivid Racing), and Jimmy (RHD Motoring). I haven't been to a HIN since the 2nd one ever I think. My has it grown. Let's just say that it's not exactly my scene. My buddies thought the same thing. Chingy the "hip-hop" artist was there on stage with his entourage. I put quotes around hip hop becuase today's hip hop isn't actually hip hop. It's hip pop, but that's another story. Anyhow, it was big, sponsored by Mazda, and there was a shit load of people. How would I sum it up? Lots of skanky models (most of which shouldn't be modeling), "show" cars, and vendor displays. Vendors like ...

Girls at Tokyo Auto Salon 2007

I am severly suffering from a crazy hangover today. I went to my friend's (Nathan at Motec) b-day party/dinner at Garlic Jo's in Newport Beach, CA. The food kicks ass there. I mean the food is REALLY good. After dinner, we ended up going to a bar/club called Detroit in Costa Mesa afterwards and that place was pretty cool too. Needless to say, my friends and I got way faded and I headed back to Torrance with a friend where we continued drinking and stuff until 8am. After the post drinking breakfast, I went to sleep at 10:30am. I'm getting too old for this shit, but it's hella fun while you got the fade on...

Back to the subject at hand. Some of my co-workers and friends...
