The 2012 Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring

By Duncan Ende

I'm cutting right to the chase: our 12 Hours of Sebring was not the success we were all hoping for at Dempsey Racing, as we went out in a big crash around the six-hour mark. The race started out well enough with each of our drivers leading during their initial stints, but once electrical issues cropped up during my first stint the race fell back in line with what had been a challenging, if promising, week throughout testing and practice.

Sneak Peek: A Look Inside Modular Mustang Racing’s Drag Mustang

By Khiem Dinh

To go fast in the quarter mile, it's hard to beat some good ole American muscle.  Greg Seth-Hunter hailing from Simi Valley, CA drives this Mustang built by Modular Mustang Racing out of Camarillo, CA.  This drag car might feature traditional domestic power, but it eschews the old mainstays of the drag strip of superchargers and nitrous for turbo power.  Here’s a peek at a six second quarter mile dragster representing a new trend in domestic power.

cyberevo - beyond the dyno

Underneath the Skin of the Legendary CyberEVO

by Eric Hsu

Check out the CyberEVO the way nobody's covered it before. If you're an EVO owner, you can see how the Cyber team built this car and pretty much repeat what they did. There's nothing too drastic on this car and it's really just a combination and the total package that makes the car as fast as it is.

Project Gen 3 STi: Testing the COBB AccessPORT

By Wes Dumalski

As it turns out owning a project car is not easy! First and foremost these are real cars owned by real people that pay for them with their own money. Life as well as vehicle practicality and reliability have ways of getting in the way of project car progress and/or completion. Take our Gen 3 GR STi project for example... We had had the car repainted, put back to stock all just so we could start fresh. OK so that is a total lie, the real story is that the previous project car was sold by the owner after blowing up it's totally stock motor on more than one occasion...

Revenge of the Nerd - The Consultant, Helping Fast GT-R's go Even Faster!

By Mike Kojima

I am lucky enough to get to work with some of the best people and companies in the industry as a consultant, usually in the field of suspension design and set up.  A couple of weeks ago, I got a call from the folks at Greddy Performance Products and KW Suspension to help with an effort to break the 1/4 mile record for a street driven full body R35 Nissan GT-R.

Company Profile - Radium Engineering

By Wes Dumalski

por·nog·ra·phy

[pawr-nog-ruh-fee]

noun: obscene writings, drawings, photographs, or the like, especially those having little or no artistic merit.

Shit, I could use the above to describe just about every article I have ever written. But the reality is that when I first laid my eyes on the offerings of Radium Engineering, PORN was the first thing that came to mind. In the current sea of inferior parts to lay gaze on the products that Radium proudly engineers, prototypes, and builds here in the States is nothing short of inspiring!

The 60th Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring

By Efrain Olivares

It is shaping up to be quite a year for sportscar racing in North America. Coming off of a hugely competitive 50th Rolex 24 at Daytona, we have now had the 60th Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring. Both races featured completely different cars, but extremely strong racing. In the case of Sebring, it was not only the opener of the American Le Mans Series, but the opening round of the FIA-sanctioned World Endurance Championship.

Project Honda Civic: ASR Rear Sway Bar Kit

By Bob Hernandez

The long, winding road of upgrading suspension bits on our Project EJ Civic is getting pretty close to conclusion, or at least weekend track readiness. Variability (and therefore tunability) has been added to the car's setup with the installation of Skunk2's coil-overs and camber kits, and the super-worn stock bushings were punched or burned out in favor of newer, stiffer polyurethane replacements by Energy Suspension. Today we finally get to the rear bar, sourced from A Spec Racing (ASR).
