WATCH:  IMPROVING the R35 GT-R! Part 5 - Advan Wheels & Toyo Tires!

Join us on our multi-part journey to improving what is arguably the best car ever made. Inexperienced "tuners" can easily ruin the R35 GT-R's performance prowess by just throwing parts at it without giving any thought to how all the parts are going to work together. That is NOT how we do things here at MotoIQ!

In Part 5 of our series we install Advan RZ-DF wheels and Toyo R888's!

So, a $5k wheel and tire budget can improve performance. 10-4

Mike, I want to raise the ride height on a GTR. Any recommendations on the best way to do this without completely messing up the geometry? I'm hoping the answer is just a set of height adjustable coilovers. Can I email you?

You mean raise over the stock ride height? If so yes that will mess up the geometry.

Thanks for the response, Mike. I'm a huge fan from back in the SCC days, I still have a "Let the Ass Kicking Begin" license plate frame.

Seems like it would be cheaper to get a KW HLS than to get a raised GTR setup properly (although I do love the idea of GTR Targa setup). Is the HLS a decent product? Can you recommend a dealer/supplier?

Thanks again, I'd be happy to Venmo you a couple a bucks for your time if you'd like.
