With most DC2 Acura Integras being anywhere from 15 to 20 years old by now, it takes some smart maintenance to keep everything running well and the engine bay clean. Good thing is, most B-series OEM parts are still readily available through several sources. Strategic preventative upkeep can keep Honda B-series engines running for an extremely long time.  

 

Fresh OEM Honda parts for the DC2 refresh consisting of water pump, timing belt, timing belt tensioner, tensioner spring, serpentine belt, AC belt, timing cover gaskets, cam gear seals, and crankshaft front main seal. 

 

VTEC engine specific 22t tooth Honda water pump designed around the operating RPM range of VTEC B-series motors. 

 

Fresh seal and a somewhat uncommon metal impeller, many companies use plastics units which are prone to failure under high heat conditions like seen during track use. 

 

 

Howard Watanabe removing under body plastics and covers to have access to the front timing cover and crank pulley which need to be removed.
