PRI 2015: Part 3

Performance Racing Industry: Part 3

by Pablo Mazlumian

Let's continue our journey through the PRI 2015 show in Indianapolis, Indiana. If you love modified street and racing cars, there’s no better place to be to finish out a good year. We covered dozens of companies in our first two PRI 2015 installments, but today we bring you a lot more. Let’s get right to it and start with Precision Turbo and Engine!

As expected, PTE had a nice booth at PRI this year, and one of the vehicles it featured was this C7 Corvette. It may not be a supercharged Z06, but with a single turbo kit designed by Hellion Power Systems (which usually sells turbo kits for the likes of Dodge Charger/Challenger/Magnum as well as Ford Mustang), it's making over 1000hp.

It makes that power with this PTE Gen2 7675 CEA ball bearing turbo, which is capable of up to 1325hp!

Here’s a close-up of the Gen2 7675 CEA. It’s actually not as large as you would think. I used to run a T66 on an E36 BMW M3 that had housings larger than this, but that turbo wouldn’t do no 1300 hp! (more like half)
