AEM Releases Ford Coyote Engine Harness Adapter for Installing Infinity ECU on Coyote Race Engines Using the Factory Engine Harness

Connects to factory Ford Coyote engine harness, provides ability to control all four variable cams, drive-by-wire and more using Infinity ECU!

AEM Performance Electronics has released a “Controls Pack” style harness adapter (PN 30-3813) for Ford Coyote 5.0L race engines. The 30-3813 Coyote wiring harness connects to the Coyote's factory engine wiring harness for quick and easy installation of an Infinity-8 standalone programmable EFI unit (PN 30-7101) onto a Coyote race engine.

DELIVERS COMPLETE TUNING CONTROL FOR THE COYOTE
The Infinity ECU for the Ford Coyote engine has been used successfully in racing since its release a year ago, including on JPC Racing's 2x record-setting Coyote Turbo drag car that set a new record after switching to the Infinity its first time out. It delivers complete tuning control including Ti-VCT variable cam timing (four cams), Drive-by-Wire (plug included on harness for quick integration of the Ford Drive-by-Wire pedal assembly), active CAN controls, dual on-board Lambda AFR control, dual knock control and speed density fueling to eliminate the MAF. A base map is available for the Coyote for quick start up.

A robust fuse and relay panel is integrated into the 30-3813 Coyote harness adapter. It includes relays for the radiator fan, coils, injectors, Infinity ECU, starter and fuel pump, and flying leads for starter, ECU controlled fuel pump, clutch-switch activated starter safety lockout, ignition switch and tachometer. CANbus support is included for the Electronic Power Assist Steering (EPAS) when using the Ford Racing M-3200-EPAS Boss 302R electronic steering rack, with minor additional wiring.

REQUIRED ITEMS
Two Bosch 4.2LSU sensors are required for Lambda feedback control (PN 30-2001). A MAP sensor (PN 30-2130-50 3.5BAR) and air inlet temp (AIT) sensor (PN 30-2010 3/8″ NPT) is required for conversion to speed density. MAF is not supported. AEM offers higher pressure MAP sensors for high boost applications.

AEM recommends the purchase of its Infinity Auxiliary Sub Harness (PN 30-3510-00) for easy installation of the MAP and AIT. This sub harness connects to the DTM-style 12-pin connector for adding common aftermarket sensors including fuel pressure, oil pressure, boost control solenoid and ethanol content. The expansion port also includes a sensor ground, 5v reference, power from relay and high side output for activating a solenoid, and switched inputs for auxiliary radiator fan, boost target and no-lift shift.

The 30-3813 Coyote wiring harness includes a connector to enable control of the Ford Racing Boss 302 Alternator Kit (Ford PN M-8600-M50BALT). Users who do not have this alternator may need to purchase it for proper connection.

The Drive-by Wire pedal assembly is not included with the 30-3813 Coyote wiring harness. For Drive-by-Wire integration the Ford pedal assembly (Ford PN BR3Z-95836-D) is required.

The Infinity ECU makes state-of-the-art ECU technology affordable for both professional teams and amateur racers. Built around a latest-generation 32 bit floating point 200MHz automotive processor and Real Time Operating System (RTOS), the Infinity is capable of processing 400 MIPS (millions of instructions per second). To our knowledge, the Infinity ECU currently has the fastest processing speed of any aftermarket Motorsports ECU available. This processing speed combined with a RTOS provides more accurate ignition timing for increased power, more responsiveness to truly custom tailor the driving experience to the driver, allows the Infinity to perform more computational features without a sacrifice in processing performance, and enables tuning of features and sub strategies without affecting other features and sub strategies. It allows you to do more, faster, in a more stable programming environment.
