Team VCMC FR-S Goes Way Beyond The Scion Tuner Challenge

by MotoIQ Staff

The Canadian Scion FR-S Edition Challange is much more demanding than the usual car show fare consisting of a series of challenging events, from ice racing to gymkhana and more. Our friends at Team VCMC wanted to put their Scion Challenge FR-S to an even greater test. So they took it to the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Watch the video to see how they did.

What I love, a performance based challenge car. Usually these come out as lame show cars.

Yeah, agreed. Show cars are kinda cool and all, but I've always enjoyed a good racecar over a purpose-built show car, even in terms of aesthetics. The functional components of a race car are what I visually like the most about a car.

Function > Form. This FRS is sexy.

Man, I forgot that they fully paved Pikes Peak.

Really sucks that by the time the Time Attack class got to take as hot at the hill - it started to rain/hail. Would of really like to see how it would stack against some of the other unlimited vehicles.

The video is beautifully done!
