OVERVIEW
The AEM High Output Inductive Coil is a “dumb coil” designed to be used with an ignitor. This coil offers the high spark energy and voltage typical of a CDI ignition system, but delivers a long spark duration that can only be achieved using inductive coils. The coil itself is constructed to operate in harsh environments and is shock and weatherproof, allowing it to be mounted virtually anywhere.

WHY YOU WANT ONE
The AEM High Output Coil is a specially designed inductive style, high energy coil for ignition systems that are equipped with an ignitor. AEM’s High Output Coil takes advantage of the inherent benefits of inductive coil technology and will deliver a much longer duration of spark than is possible with CDI systems. This increased spark energy and duration is critical to maximizing power in high boost or high compression applications.

The coil has no computer circuit inside of it.

Oh. I've never actually used a computerized coil, so I guess all the ones I have used are dumb.

@Misnblue: Be careful when you wire the coil packs. Those pull-to-seat (P2S) MetriPack connectors are effectively impossible to disassemble.

I really hate "P2S" connectors, but the coil does sound nice.

GT150 connectors replace the Pull to Seat connectors that suck. They are push to seat and have a lock on the front. This is the 3pos connector for this AEM coil. They need different pins then the P2S and they use wire seal boots unlike some of the P2S connectors.

@Ockham Thanks for the info on the connections. I'm presently using the MSD 6211 with MSD Dis coils that I want to setup as an independant coil setup for quicker firing at higher rpm. I'll do some further research on these to make sure they'll work for the setup or if I can delete the 6211 box with these coils.

@EB Turbo, thanks for the link. That'll come in handy for some other projects. :)
