Replay XD: World's Smallest Action Cam

REPLAY XD™ THE SMALLEST ACTION VIDEO CAMERA ON EARTH

Easy to use, mount-anywhere technology, rugged alloy construction and crystal clear picture quality make the tiny RePlay XD a clear winner for on-the-go video

Newbury Park, Calif. (Sept, 2010) – Introducing the RePlay XD, the lightest, smallest and easiest to use action sports video camera on earth. Whether you prefer racing, off-roading, skydiving, rock climbing, mountain biking, motorcycle riding, surfing, RC cars and planes, hunting or just about any other sport you can imagine, the RePlay XD makes it easy to shoot, share and review your action with a few pushes of a button – all wrapped up in a tiny yet incredibly rugged package the size of your index finger that’s easy for anyone to use.

At only 30 grams, the RePlay XD is the smallest, lightest video camera in its class, thanks to cutting-edge electronics and a beautiful aluminum housing. Simple On and Off buttons make the RePlay XD easy to operate, and built-in LED and vibration feedback make using the camera easy in noisy or low-light situations. The RePlay is perfect for on-helmet video since its small size adds no noticeable weight and the on/off vibration can be felt through the helmet, eliminating the need for a second person to confirm you’re actually recording.

Unlike other, boxy action sports cameras, the small 21.4mm wide x 69mm long RePlay XD can be mounted virtually anywhere, due to its compact size and shape. The round machined aluminum housing allows for 720-degrees of mountng versitility. RePlay XD includes two mounting options to get you started, the Clip Tilt Mount, and Flat Swivel Mount. Optional heavy duty billlet aluminum mounts are available for motorsports & other radical applications. All the RePlay XD mounts will allow your RePlay XD to get the shot even if your ideal mounting location is upside down or sideways.

“We wanted to design a camera that can go places other cameras can’t,” says RePlay XD President, John Spar, ” Whether you’re bombing down the mountain, or setting a fast lap, Your RePlay XD will always get the shot.”

The RePlay XD features a high clarity CMOS sensor for capturing crisp, color rich DVD quality video at 30 fps, as well as an internal omnidirectional Mic to combat wind noise and distortion. It is weather resistant and was designed to be used in a variety of harsh environments. An internal Polymer Li-Ion battery gives you up to 120 minutes of battery life on a single charge. The kit includes a 4GB micro SDHC card that can hold up to 2 hours of video and can use up to 32 GB cards. When combined with the optional hardwire power kit, The RePlay has logged up to 15 hours on a single 32 GB card. The optional mini power pack will also be available soon. A micro USB connector makes transferring files so easy that clips can be viewed and uploaded from any computer system, even an iPad! There’s no need for expensive editing equipment.

RePlay XD was designed by a group of racing professionals with over 50 years of experience in the high performance racing industry. The development team saw the need for ultra-lightweight cameras that could capture never before seen video footage from the most extreme racing and action environments on earth. The RePlay XD has been put through the most grueling conditions possible and has come out unscathed with crystal clear footage. RePlay’s goal is to bring you the most technologically advanced recording systems available today.
