IDRC GT-R Challenge 2008

Sean the GTRNRD4LFE put up the GT-R Challenge section of the DSPORT magazine DVD on Youtube. Check it out if you missed the event. Or even if you were at the event, the video probably has more detailed coverage. Just excuse my dumb ass smile at the very end of the video. I had no idea what else to do after winning the GT-R Challenge and $500. I ran a 10.4sec 1/4 mile in a time attack car with street tires (Nitto NT01), road race alignment with -3.5° camber, short shifting (finished the run in 5th gear like a dumb ass) and a stock BNR34 Getrag 6 speed. You can probably ignore the other Hollinger and OS sequential tranny cars on drag radials going slower (they weren’t built at XS were they?). The car that did surprise me was the RB Motoring R32.4 which is an R32 GT-R with pure BNR34 GT-R running gear including the BNR34’s ATTESA, Getrag transmission, subframes, and all. It was running pretty damn strong with Sean piloting the car. I think he was running 11.0s with stock mounted HKS GT-RS turbos pretty much all day long.
