I recall a long time ago reading an article I believe by Dave Coleman, that he stated that cold air intakes are much more important in turbo charged cars compared to NA cars.

I understand the basic concepts that warmer air makes the turbo less efficient compared to cold air, thus having the outlet air temp on the turbo greater than the difference between the warmer air and cold air.

What I'm looking for is the physics formula that was in this article.
