Trust Japan's Successful "Chapter 11" Filing by eric

Trust Japan's Successful "Chapter 11" Filing

Trust Japan has had their "Minji-Saisei-Hou" (US equivalent of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing) reorganization plan successfully approved. This basically means that the government has accepted Trust's plan to become solvent again. While they haven't solved all their problems yet, it is a big step in getting back on solid ground. Good luck to the guys at Trust. Here's a press release that Mike from Greddy sent out:

Kutiman Mixes YouTube by eric

I decided that I'm going to try to post about something not car related at least once a week. I gotta change up a little here and there once in a while, right? With that being said, Rich in Florida sent me a link to some of Kutiman's mixes on YouTube. His videos/songs are mixes of notes, tracks, and vocals from YouTube only. He doesn't introduce any sounds from external sources at all. Kutiman's tracks are pretty damn incredible so make sure you crank up the sound and check out the funky drumming in I'm New or the beats in Wait For Me. See all of his genius tracks on YouTube or on Kutiman's site: http://thru-you.com/.

Cool video narrated by Sebastian Vettel breaking down the changes in the ugly ass aero, tires, and KERS for 2009. No doubt Red Bull paid the bill on this one.

Wanna Buy a Prodrive WRC Car (or parts)? by eric

Wanna Buy a Prodrive WRC Car (or parts)?

In the midst of Prodrive's termination of the SWRT (Subaru World Rally Team) and Subaru's withdrawal from WRC Rally, it appears that Subaru WRC cars and parts are now making their way into the public market. They always were available, but at ridiculous prices. In fact, now you can even phone up Prodrive and buy yourself certain parts from the 2008 WRC car such as the rear wing (somebody I know did that). Our favorite Frenchman, Jeremy at Cosworth UK, sent us an email forwarding the link to a Japanese MSN page that has detailed information on Prodrive WRC car sales. The MSN page wit...

4WD Controllers by eric

4WD Controllers

Do-Luck Japan recently released two 4wd controllers for the BNR32/33/34 Skyline GT-R and the EVO 7/8/9 late last year. For some reason most of the English information I found on them is from the UK. We got an email at Cosworth a short while back from the people at Sumo Power in the UK. I have no idea who sells Do-Luck parts in the US anymore. Anyhow, the addition of a 4wd controller can enhance (or screw up...) a car's handling on the road or track. By tweaking the sensor outputs for longitudinal Gs, lateral Gs, and steering angle, the Do-Luck "D-ETS-M" (GT-R) and the "D-ACD-M" (EVO) controllers can adjust the amount of front/rear power distribution and the rate of gain by affecting the ...
